Commitment To Unity In CCRN

In his epistle to the Ephesians, Paul exhorts christians to the effect that "Even if you are angry; do not sin. Never let the sun set on your anger; or else, you would give the devil a foothold". Eph.4:26,27. He followed it up in his letter to the Hebrews 12:15 that "Be careful that no one is deprived of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness should begin to grow and make trouble; this can poison a large number"

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria has had her share of squabble, quarrels and disagreement and unceasing bitterness and animosity. However, in a season when reason prevails, all we can say is thank you God in the Holy Spirit that guided the resolution. At least a lstatement of commitment to unity in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria has been issued recently. Below is the full text of the statement as posted by the National Chaplain of the CCRN, Fr. Irenaeus Okonkwo PhD:

"Public Commitment to Unity for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria (CCRN)

Preamble:
We, the leaders and members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria (CCRN), recognize that unity is essential for the growth and effectiveness of our mission. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, prayed for our unity, saying:

"That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me." (John 17:21)

In obedience to Christ’s command and in faithfulness to our calling, we make this solemn declaration to uphold unity, love, and reconciliation in all our actions and relationships within CCRN.
