The Diocesan Service Team (DST) governs all the Prayer groups in a Diocese or an Archdiocese, irrespective of their sizes or levels of spiritual development. DST is made up of Prayer Group Leaders (as well as ministry leaders) from various parishes with the diocese or archdiocese. This team is led by elected executives into these offices: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publicity, along with elected leaders of each ministries and wings.

The DST passes information and updates from the Provincial Service Team to leaders of each prayer group and ensures compliance. She monitors the activities of each prayer group and organizes programmes that would facilitate interaction among prayer groups, sharing of resources, and empowerment of both leaders and members of the Renewal from various prayer groups within the (Arch) Diocese. Programmes organized at DST Level includes: Diocesan or Archdiocesan Conferences, Workshops, Trainings, Retreats, Seminars, and Meetings.

History of CCRN

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria owes its origin to the Dominican Order. In 1967 the novitiate at Ibadan was opened. By 1969, there were four American Dominicans in the house: Frs. Ed. Riley, Mathias Walsh, Bertrand Ebben and Br. Gilbert Thesing. Another American Dominican, Richard Farmer, was assigned as chaplain to the University of Ife, Ile-Ife...
