The National Executive Council is the highest governing council of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria, and it’s officially made up of six elected members, one ex-official of NEC, PST Chairmen and Secretaries, National Coordinators of Ministries and Wings, and the National Chaplain.

NEC governs all other established bodies within the Renewal in Nigeria, and gives directives to the manner and scope of any activity or project within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria. NEC also conducts elections of leaders of wings and ministries at the National level, and supervises PST elections to ensure compliance to the National guidelines. The National Service Centre (NSC) is the main secretariat for NEC, and there she holds her meetings and all National programs. NEC reports directly to African Sub-Committee of ICCRS (International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Service, Vatican),

History of CCRN

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria owes its origin to the Dominican Order. In 1967 the novitiate at Ibadan was opened. By 1969, there were four American Dominicans in the house: Frs. Ed.
