The Prayer Group (PG) is the basic unit of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal as CCRN members are empowered and renewed spiritually through these meetings. In such gathering, members come together on weekly basis to praise and worship God in a lively manner; testimonies are shared, a talk is given, prophetic messages are given, intercessory prayers and petitions are handled.

The Prayer Groups (PG) of the CCRN is meant to provide opportunities for fellowship and relationship building. Members our CCRN Prayer Groups are expected to belong to at least one ministry, and to use their talents and gifts in the service of the Community. Most importantly, the Renewal expects each prayer group to maintain a positive relationship with the Parish Priest and her members to be active in the Parish activities.

History of CCRN

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria owes its origin to the Dominican Order. In 1967 the novitiate at Ibadan was opened. By 1969, there were four American Dominicans in the house: Frs. Ed.
